Net booking

Guidance on use of Net Facilities

Our outdoor nets are free for all club members to use, so please do make use of them! However we ask that all members book a slot using our online system, to help us manage their use.

  • All usage should be booked by a KCC member using the online booking system (link below)
  • Users must be members of Kidlington CC (this includes parents of youth members)
  • Bring your own equipment and balls (only 1 set of stumps will be provided in the nets).
  • The entrance gate should be kept closed at all times and locked up when leaving
  • Entrance to the nets will be controlled via a combination lock. Members who book the net will be provided with the combination lock number.

The net practice facilities will be available as follows:-

  • Between 8:00am and 8:00pm from Monday to Sunday, except 6-8 on Wednesday (senior training), 5-8 on Friday (junior training) and 12-8 on Saturday (senior games)
  • Booking slots start on the hour and last for 45 minutes, allowing 15 minutes for cleaning, packing away and leaving prior to the arrival of the next user
  • The Stratfield Brake toilets may not be open so plan accordingly
  • We reserve the right to close the facility for necessary maintenance

We ask that:

  • Any club member who feels unwell must not use the facility
  • You wash your hands at home before and after using the net facilities
  • You finish practice in good time (after 45 minutes) to allow cleaning and change-over
  • While you're in the nets, if anyone asks about usage, please ask them to contact the club
  • Bring your own filled water bottles for hydration
  • Bring a charged mobile phone in case of need to call for medical assistance
  • Full protective equipment must be used by batters at all times. This includes the use of helmets for all users including adults

Any problems with booking should be directed to Mark Fransham at youth@kidlingtoncricket.com.

Many thanks to Thame Cricket Club for sharing their guidelines, upon which this is based.
